Deimler International Editors Note: I liked this article because Charlie Jones has written some awesome books. He is a great author and a great man. Anyone looking for some great quotes could benefit from this article.
I found this powerful statement in Charlie “T” Jones book, Life Is Tremendous. You are the same today as you will be five years from now except for two things – the people you meet and the books you read. - Randy Haugen
The longer I live the more true I’ve found his statement to be. The greatest value of reading for me is the thoughts I think when reading.
Theodore Parker explains it this way.
“The books which help you most are those which make you think the most. The hardest way of learning is by easy reading: but a great book that comes from a great thinker – it is a ship of thought, deep freighted with truth and beauty.”
“A good book on your shelf is a friend that turns its back on you and remains a friend.” - Ross Macdonald
